‘The mind is its own place and in it self. Can make a Heaven of Hell, a hell of Heaven.’
John Milton
Our expectations are like the air we breath – they accompany us everywhere. You might assume that your body is resilient, or it is prone to sickness. We might believe that the stresses in our life are harming our health. These assumptions may appear to be inescapable, objective truth. If we can learn how to reset our expectations these issues we can actually have truly remarkable effects on our health, happiness and productivity. We can reshape our life to be a better self.
Dutch researchers have shown that if someone has been told that they may find an exercise to be energizing, rather than fatiguing, can reduce the sense and depletion, so that they can be more persistent and focused.![]()

While some students are exhausted at the end of school day, others seem to have boundless reserves that allow them to challenge their potential to leap forward.
If the potentials are untapped it will be wasted. We can see that the parents for children in Activetalk, their expectations have a profound effect to help their children to leap forward in their future challenge ahead. I am sure that they are more equipped to face it with their proficiency in English.

John Milton once wrote:
“The mind is a world unto itself; it can turn hell into heaven, and heaven into hell.”
Our expectations are like the air we breathe; they’re everywhere. Many people believe their bodies are fragile and prone to illness, or that stress inevitably damages their health. These beliefs seem like unchangeable truths. But if we learn to reset our expectations, it can have a stunning impact on health, happiness, and productivity. We truly have the power to reshape our lives.![]()
Research also confirms this. Dutch studies show that when people are told a particular sport will make them more energetic, not more tired, their fatigue levels do decrease, and they perform better. Expectations can change the outcome.
The same applies to learning. Some students feel exhausted after a day of classes, while others are able to keep going and unleash their potential. It would be a huge waste if this potential were not tapped.
At Activetalk, we clearly see the profound impact parents’ expectations have on their children’s growth. Their beliefs about their children’s future drive their efforts, resilience, and achievements. With strong support and English proficiency, these children will be better equipped to face future challenges and confidently reach new heights.

Dear parents, every word of encouragement you offer is a source of strength for your child’s growth; every expectation you have is a bridge for your child to overcome obstacles. Let us work together to turn expectations into action, dreams into reality, and accompany our children towards a broader and brighter future!
